Ram 2002-2005 Euro Clear & Projector Headlights With Halo
Product Description
Custom Head Lights, Dodge Ram 2002 2003 2004 2005 Aftermarket Euro Clear & Angel Eye Projector Headlight Lenses With Dual HalosThe projectors you see here fit a Dodge Ram truck 2002-2005, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and 1 ton. The projectors are available with two color housings: chrome or black. They also come in two color projectors: clear or blue. The blue projector is really just a daytime effect. At night they make a white light just like the clear. All headlight lenses have a clear outer lens. The headlights come with standard halogen bulbs and will plug directly into your existing wiring harness....simple. Along with the projectors are the dual halos and six running lights. Each of those have their own separate wiring pair. Positive wiries are usually white or red. Ground is usually black. Most customers attach the two sets of wires together (white to white & black to black) and connect those two pairs of wires to some power source. The favored power source is the parking light circuit. That way, when you turn on your parking lights, your halos and running lights will turn on also. Dodge Ram Angel Eye Projector Headlights - BEFORE
Matthew K from Irvine, CA just back from a tour of duty in Iraq, brought us his 2005 Dodge Ram to install a set of angel eye projector headlights and an upper and lower billet grill.

Matthew's truck experience quite a transformation at our shop. First, we removed the lower plastic cover on the valance so we could install the lower bumper billet grill. To accomplish that, we needed to remove four small plastic screws using a pair of wire cutters. The screws would not come off easily so we have to figure a different means to get them out. We just cut the screws from the inside and the plastic cover came out pretty easily. When we removed the plastic cover off the lower bumper, we had to bend the location of the billet grill brackets to aligh properly. Once we aligned the billet grill brackets, it bolted up to the bumper real easy.
The upper grill required a bit more work. We had to remove the whole grill shell from the truck. Once we got it out on a work bench, we had to remove the old OEM grill by removing the rivets. Once we got all the OEM grilles out of the way, installing the new billet grilles was pretty easy. Be careful not to drill a big hole when removing the rivets.
The projectors were the final installation. The stock headlights came out pretty easy. There are three bolts holding in the headlights and a small screw that holds the rubber molding in place. The two bolts are easily accessable once you open the hood. The last bolt is set back below the lens near the fender. This one takes a little work to get to. Make sure you cover the bumper with a soft towel or cloth before you start digging under the lens to get that one bolt out. By the way, the bolts are 10mm.
Once you remove the three bolts, you have to jiggle the lens a bit to get it to loosen up. When the lens separates from the truck, simply unplug the headlight bulb and remove the amber bulb from the lens. You may need to remove the cap that sits onto the stock headlight bulb.
Next, you're ready to install the projector headlights. You'll notice the projectors have a bunch of wires. There are four pairs of wires. Two pairs are red/black and the other pair is white/black. The red and white wires are positive and the black wires are negative. We wired the the red and white wires together and all the black wires together. Once we had them all wired together, we hooked battery power up to the wires. We wanted to verify everything was functioning properly. Once we found everything lit up like it was supposed to, we went back to the truck and looked for a power source for our halos and LED running lights. Since there were power wires right there on the amber bulb socket, we spliced into the black wire for ground on the parking lights. Now, there are two other wires. We found that the center wire was for the parking lights. The other wire was for the turn signal light. You may want to verify this with a volt meter before you hook up your halos. Once we verified these were the correct wires, we spliced into the center wire for positive and put quick connects on each. We also put quick connects on the wires that came from the projectors. So, once we had all the quick connects in place, we plugged in the halo wiring, screwed in the turn signal bulb socket into the lens and plugged in the headlight harness for the headlights into the projectors.

The blue plug is for the headlights. That plugs directly into the existing headlight plug. The red/black wire pairs are for the angel eye/halos and the white/black pairs are for the six running lights. We wired the red together with the white and all black together. Those then were wired into the parking light circuit. The bolts sticking out the back of the lens is for the projector adjustment and high-beam adjustment.
From here, we reversed the installation process. We slid a bolt onto the lens underneath and followed it with a socket and long extension. We placed the headlight in its bucket and lighted everything up. While we pressed the lens into place, we threaded the bottom bolt. When it fell into place, we tighteded the bottom bolt. Followed that up with the other two bolts on the opposite sides of the lens. Finally, we put the small plastic screw onto the rubber gasket. Our projector job was complete. All we needed to do now was align the headlights. In order to do that, you'll need a 5/16 socket or wrench and to be parked on a flat surface. The adjustments are on the back side of the lens. How you align the projectors is up to you. But, as you can see, its a fine looking RIDE now with a new set of projector and an upper and lower billet grill. Thanks Matthew!!
